Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how EzFluent (“EzFluent”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares information when you use the EzFluent mobile application (the “App”). By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account or sign in, we collect your email address and basic profile information. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the identifiers those services share with us (such as name and email) to create your account. You can also use the App as a guest, in which case a device-scoped anonymous identifier is used instead of an account.

Learning content you create

To provide the service, we store the words, grammar points, topic decks, notes and practice history you add, along with your chosen language pair (your mother tongue and the language you are learning) and your progress levels. This data is associated with your account so it can sync across your devices.

Photos and camera (scanning)

When you use the scan feature, the App accesses your camera or photo library to let you capture or select an image. Text recognition (OCR) runs on your device. Only the extracted text — not the raw image — is sent to our servers to resolve meanings and generate exercises. We do not retain your photos.

Usage, diagnostics and device data

We collect app usage events, crash reports and basic device information (such as device model, operating system version, language and a device/advertising identifier) to keep the App reliable and to improve it.

Session recordings

To understand where the App is confusing or broken, we record how it is used: the screens you visit, the order you visit them in, and where you tap, scroll and swipe. These recordings are reconstructions of the App's own screens — we do not record audio, your camera, or anything outside the App.

Because the recording shows the App's screens, it can show learning content you created, such as words you have added. We mask your email address so it does not appear. System screens shown by your device — the Google or Apple sign-in dialog, the camera, and the photo picker — are not captured. Please do not enter sensitive personal information into the App's text fields.

Recordings are processed by Microsoft Clarity (see section 6). They are tied to your account identifier so we can connect a recording to the usage events described above. Where a consent prompt is required in your region, your answer to it also governs these recordings.

2. How we use your information

3. AI processing

EzFluent uses third-party AI services (including Google Gemini) to resolve word and grammar meanings, generate example sentences and create practice exercises. The text you add or scan may be sent to these providers for processing. We do not use this content to identify you, and we ask our providers not to use it to train their models beyond what is necessary to return a result. Do not submit sensitive personal information through these features.

4. Advertising

The App may show ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use a device advertising identifier to serve and measure ads. In regions that require it (such as the EEA and UK), we present a consent prompt so you can choose between personalized and non-personalized ads. You can reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings at any time. Learn more at Google's advertising policy.

Separately, we measure our own marketing. If you installed EzFluent after seeing one of our ads on TikTok, the TikTok Business SDK in the App reports a small set of milestones — finishing onboarding, creating an account, adding your first word — together with your account identifier and device signals, so we can tell which campaign worked. This is measurement of our advertising rather than ads shown inside the App, so it applies on the paid tier too. On iOS the SDK only reads your advertising identifier if you allow tracking at the App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you decline, measurement falls back to Apple's SKAdNetwork, which does not identify you.

5. This website

This section is about the website at ezfluent.info, not the App.

We use Google Analytics to understand how this page is used — how many people visit, where they arrive from, how far down the page they read, and whether they tap through to the App Store or Google Play. This uses cookies stored in your browser.

In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland these cookies are off until you accept them using the banner shown on your first visit. Elsewhere they are on by default and you can turn them off with the same banner. Your choice is remembered in your browser; clearing your browser storage will bring the banner back. We do not use advertising cookies on this website.

6. Services we rely on

We share limited data with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf:

We do not sell your personal information.

7. Data retention

We keep your account and learning data for as long as your account is active. Diagnostic and log data is kept for a limited period and then deleted or aggregated. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations.

8. Your rights and choices

9. Children's privacy

EzFluent is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. International transfers

Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above, and where appropriate we will notify you in the App.
